Background of the Study

Public healthcare projects are essential for ensuring the health and well-being of communities. In Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, the government allocates significant resources to healthcare projects aimed at improving facilities, providing medical services, and addressing public health challenges. However, the effectiveness of these projects is often undermined by issues such as mismanagement, inefficiencies, and lack of accountability.   3. Strengthening auditing practices will improve accountability in public healthcare projects in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area.

It will provide valuable recommendations for improving auditing practices, ensuring better resource allocation, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of healthcare projects in Birnin Kebbi.

The study will focus on the role of auditing in healthcare projects within Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area. Limitations may include the availability of audit reports and cooperation from local healthcare officials.
